02 / The research desk
Reading beyond the headline
An imaginary editorial briefing about context, sources and uncertainty.
At our fictional research desk, an editor compares the language of two imaginary market headlines. One describes a change; the other offers an explanation. Those are different kinds of claim.
The editor separates observation from interpretation and records what remains unknown. This exercise reports no real market events, prices, returns or forecasts.
The publisher expresses a training preference for this section in robots.txt. A preference is not an access barrier: without a separate enforcement rule, the content is still served.
